Hi Everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page! This year was one of the hardest times for me finding out my mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only being so far away made it difficult, but also the fact that she has been the strongest woman in my whole life and seeing her go through this was one of the worst heartaches I have had to deal with. This year, I am going to make a difference for her & all the other woman out there.
Through this horrible time, I have seen such great strength and positivity from my mom, and it has truly shown me what matters in life. So much of our time is taken away by social media, trying to be someone we aren't, and pleasing people, but yet, half the time we don't really know what is going on behind closed doors. I have learned that the closest people in life will help you find the courage and light in life, and that is why I want to continue to show my mom I am also capable of doing anything!
This year, I'm taking part in the Pink Star Walk but I need your help to make a difference. Any donation would be so greatly appreciated! I feel so fortunate to know that my mom has had the best possible doctors around her. But everyone still needs help. All the other amazing woman that have also gone through this. The aunty's, the moms, the sisters, the wives, the girlfriends, everyone deserves to have their life fought for. For example, $40 could fund an hour with an experienced breast nurse to support breast cancer patients in their time of need.
If I reach my target Breast Cancer Foundation NZ will be able to fund many counselling sessions for a woman recovering from or living with breast cancer, or laboratory equipment needed for vital research to improve breast cancer patient survivorship. Of course you don't have to sponsor $40 any amount will be hugely appreciated and gratefully received!
Take a moment to also hug the close people to you, reflect on what is and isn't important in life, and how we can make a difference in this world. It's the little things in life..
